Start with what goes inside.
Four decisions lead to the right cabinet: what goes in it, how wide the space is, how tall the cabinet stands and which drawers it holds. Design your own follows the same order from width onward.

Start with the contents
Lay out what will go in the drawers and sort it by size. Flat things suit standard drawers, 80 mm high inside. Boxes and tools suit large or deep drawers, 130 or 170 mm. The tallest items need an extra-deep drawer, 270 mm.

Measure the space
Five widths: 419, 600, 839, 1010 and 1259 mm (16.5 to 49.6 in). Every cabinet is 460 mm (18.1 in) deep. Check there is room in front for the drawers to open where the cabinet will stand.

Choose a height
Five heights: 230, 325, 420, 547 and 743 mm (9.1 to 29.3 in). A taller body holds more drawers, up to seven standard drawers at 743 mm.

Choose the drawers
Each height offers a set of drawer combinations, such as 2 standard + 1 deep. Every drawer is 420 mm deep inside and closes on a dual slam-shut latch. A keyed lock is optional.

The five series, side by side
Widths are external. Every series is 460 mm deep and comes in the same five heights; the width sets the drawer width inside.
